Library Offers Programs For Children, Teenagers
The Transylvania County Library will offer two new programs for Valentine’s Day. The programs are free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
On Monday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. the library will hold a Daddy-Daughter Date Night at the library for girls ages 3-8 and their dads (or granddads, uncles, or other father figures). The library will roll out the red carpet for dads and daughters as they arrive in style and make their way back to the Storytime Room where they’ll dish up some daddy-daughter stories with dessert. So dads, put on your dapper duds, and bring your daughter dressed-to-the-nines for a sweet evening of fun just for the two of you. Registration is required for this event. Call 884-3151 ext. 3 or stop by the youth services desk to sign up now.
Tweens and Teens (grades 6-12) looking for some Valentine inspired fun can attend the Valenteen party on Feb. 14 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Rogow Community Room no, they don’t need a date. It’s just a chance to get together with friends, maybe meet some new ones, watch an Audrey Hepburn flick, make some candy sushi and create some chocolate art. Registration is required for this event. Call 884-3151 ext. 3 or stop by the youth services desk to sign-up now.
