BHS Junior Featured In National Online Newspaper
BREVARD, N.C. Brevard High School junior Hannah Field was recently featured in the my.hsj.org National Edition, an online newspaper showcasing exemplary articles from student journalists nationwide.
Field currently serves as editor-in-chief of the Broadcaster, BHS’s student publication. Her article, “Rush Limbaugh’s inflammatory comments prove filter necessary” was selected from thousands of articles to be included in the National Edition.
Field’s work was previously featured by both the National Edition and Teen Voices of Democracy: The Youth Citizen-Journalist Network. She is the only Broadcaster staff member selected by the National Edition three times.
The National Edition, and my.hsj.org, is sponsored by the American Society of News Editors (ASNE). This non-profit organization chooses stories for the National Edition based on the appeal to teen readers as well as the quality of writing. Field received a certificate of recognition from ASNE for her accomplishment.
