TCH Named Reward School

TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N. C. T.C. Henderson has been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Instruction as a “Reward School.” A “Reward School” is a Title 1 school that based on the most recent data available, is a highest performing school or a high-progress school (must make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for all subgroups and cannot have persistent achievement gaps.) Out of the thousands of public schools in North Carolina, less that 250 schools have earned this designation.

This recognition comes upon the heels of T.C. Henderson being named an “Honor School Of Excellence” this past school year! This designation signifies that T.C. Henderson is among the very best schools in the State of North Carolina. In fact, the school’s academic performance places it among the top 8 percent of all public schools.

T.C. Henderson is very proud of these recognitions and would like to thank their wonderful students, their supportive parents, their involved community, and their fantastic teachers and staff for making this achievement possible.
