Seeking A Place Of Their Own


BREVARD, N.C. — After the closing of Zero Gravity Skatepark in Brevard, local skateboarders and BMX riders say they have no place to call their own.

Tim Brenton and Barbara Kreager started Zero Gravity Skatepark in 2002 and operated the business until 2010 when they sold it to Michael Hosey and his wife, Heather.

However, the opening of several public parks in neighboring counties combined with the decline in the economy led to a loss of business and in September 2011, Relevant Truth Church officially moved in and began renting the building.

The church continued to offer skating services...
