The mornings may be cooler, but there are still six Saturdays left for the 2013 season of the Transylvania Farmers Market and a plethora of locally produced items available every Saturday morning through Dec. 21.
Nearly 30 vendors will be set up each Saturday morning, offering the last of the fresh fall produce, locally-grown beef, pork, lamb and chicken, farm fresh eggs, honey, goat cheese, mushrooms, baked goods, jams & jellies, bottled oils and vinegars, prepared foods, and a variety of handcrafted and artisan items.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, be sure to stock up on ingredients like gourmet infused olive oil, goat cheese, eggs, honey, meat and poultry, and spice rubs.
And for holiday gifts, they'll find everything from handmade jewelry and cards to personalized Christmas ornaments, delicious gourmet nut brittles, skeins of local wool and knitted items, hand-sewn organic clothing for kids and adults, adorable accessories for pets, and quality wood and granite items for your home.
Fraser fir wreaths will be available starting Nov. 23.
The Transylvania Farmers Market is located in Brevard, just off East Main Street behind Comporium at the corner of Johnson and Jordan streets. The market is open every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
