The Transylvania Times -

Twilight Tour

I’ve been to almost every Twilight Tour Brevard has had. At the first ones, the town would be so full you couldn’t turn around without bumping in to someone. It seemed everyone in Transylvania County was out and about.

This year was sad. Streets were almost empty. Entertainment at the gazebo was awesome. We have some very talented kids in our schools.

What I heard this year was that the Twilight Tour was for our local people. I would suggest if that is the case, make it local. Have only local vendors on the street. Make it a hometown attitude, one of “let’s go see what the neighbor has for sale.” Visit and get that hometown Christmas spirit. We need to feel we’re a part of the town, not that the town is just for tourists.

It’s just a thought. Merry Christmas!
