Brevard shortstop Kinsey Parrish and pitcher Jamie Hrobak were named to the All-South Atlantic Conference second team by the league office last Tuesday.

Parrish garnered her first all-conference selection after arguably her best season at Brevard. Known for her defensive prowess, Parrish fielded an astonishing, career-best .961 from her shortstop position in 2016. She has started 134 games at shortstop over the last three seasons since transferring from Spartanburg Methodist College.

This season, Parrish hit .264 at the plate with a team-high eight doubles and finished second in both home runs (6) and RBIs (29). She slugged .436 by tying for the team lead with 15 extra-base hits and was caught just once in seven stolen base attempts.

Parrish recorded a hit in 13 straight contests from April 2-19, raising her average by 62 percentage points by hitting .404 and slugging .638 during the stretch.

The Aiken, S.C. native ends her career ranked second in Brevard's NCAA-era record books in home runs, RBI's, and slugging percentage.

Hrobak earned her third all-SAC selection and first nod on the second team with her 16-25 record.

She appeared in all but three of the Tornados' 54 games this season with 23 complete games.

She struck out 276 batters in her 258.1 innings pitched, averaging better than a strikeout per inning and nearly 6.3 punchouts for every walk allowed.

The senior from Mill Spring, N.C. was named AstroTurf SAC Pitcher of the Week on March 8 after compiling a 1.89 ERA, 71 strikeouts, and five walks in 40.2 innings of work.

She owns 25 NCAA-era career records, 22 single-season records, and 11 single-game marks, including the career-best totals for wins, strikeouts, appearances, starts, complete games, and innings pitched.
