The Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Elk Haven Wellness Center on Thursday, June 16, to celebrate the wellness center's opening at 100 Elks Club Road, former site of the Brevard Elks Club.

Belinda Roberts who owns the building with her husband, Bruce, is the director of the facility and a licensed acupuncturist.

Also offered at EHWC are massage therapy, yoga, Pilates, Healing Touch and various modes of counseling by trained and certified practitioners. The renovated commercial kitchen is home to a gluten-free cookie bakery and a fresh juice producer and provides commissary services for a local hot dog food cart.

The center shares the building with Bruce's business, Carolina Financial Group, and on the grounds a thriving mossery is under cultivation.

An open house and reception are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 1. The public will be invited to attend. For further information, "like" them on their Elk Haven Wellness Center Facebook page or call the center at 862-3492.
