Fair Districts Can Be Drawn
Nearly everyone is opposed to gerrymandering, the practice of politicians drawing districts to virtually assure their re-election and that the party in power remains in power. Current North Carolina gubernatorial candidates Pat McCrory and Roy Cooper say they are opposed to gerrymandering. Former governors Jim Hunt, a Democrat, and Jim Martin, a Republican, say they are opposed to gerrymandering.
