Two men are facing first-degree kidnapping charges following an incident caught on camera Tuesday afternoon in the area of Hendersonville Highway and King Road. The victim, who is pregnant, was found and is safe, according to the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

Marquis Shante Logan, 25, of Hendersonville, is charged with assault on a female, assault on an unborn child and first degree kidnapping. He is being held in the Transylvania County Detention Center under no bond.

Logan and the victim are believed to have been in a relationship together, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The second male seen in the video was identified as Tyrean Kendrell Massagee, 25, of Swannanoa. Massagee is charged with first-degree kidnapping. Massagee is being held in the Detention Center in lieu of an $80,000 secured bond.

The break in this case came from a Transylvania County resident who called with some information.

Investigators followed up on the tip, identified the victim and discovered her with the suspect at a residence in Hendersonville.

“We are blessed to have a fast, positive resolution to this case,” said Sheriff David Mahoney. “This is a great example of communities and businesses working closely with law enforcement in our effort to investigate reported crimes.” The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest of the suspects.
