St. Philip's Shop Donates $64,000 To Community

March 20, 2017

Liz Fuller checks out one of the jackets at The Shop of St. Philip's. The shop, which will be holding a sale this week, donated $64,000 to local charities last year.

The Shop of St. Philip's, operated by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) from St. Philip's Episcopal Church with all-volunteer staffing, gives all of its proceeds directly to local charities. Last year sales from the thrift shop enabled grants of $64,000 to this community.

The seasonal sale at The Shop of St. Philip's is time to clear out the fall and winter clothes and bring in a supply of spring and summer merchandise.

The sale will be held on Friday, March 24, and Saturday, March 25, with all goods half price. On Monday, March 27, and Tuesday, March 28, all items are $1 each. Hours on those days are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. On Wednesday, March 29, the shop is open from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for the $3 bag sale.

Items for sale include clothing, dishes, linens, shoes, accessories, toys, books, small kitchen appliances and more. The only excluded items are the finer jewelry and collectibles in the glass cabinets.

Following the sale, the shop will be closed on Thursday and Friday, March 30 and 31, and then a Grand Re-Opening will be held on Saturday, April 1.

The Shop of St. Philip's is located at 44 Four Seasons Plaza across from Brevard College and behind Creekside Subs. The phone number is 884-9660. Tax-deductible donations of gently used clothing, shoes, household and kitchen wares, linens, toys, jewelry, and artwork are always welcome and appreciated.
