The Surprise Patrol Team at the Brevard/ Transylvania Chamber of Commece conducted another mission on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Chamber staff Clark Lovelace and Emily Crowley Martin, chamber ambassadors Amber Webb, Jessica Juergens and Stefan Young, along with Robert and Amanda of WSQL Radio, armed with noise makers, silly accessories and some goodies, set out to surprise four Chamber businesses in the Rosman and Toxaway areas.

M-B Industries Inc., Lake Toxaway Company, Mountain Falls Luxury Motorcoach Resort, and Quebec Stowaway all received a warm and silly welcome accompanied by a tray of delicious cookies from Blue Ridge Bakery, a gift certificate for $100 in free advertising from WSQL radio, and a little public celebration of their business with local media and chamber enews.

For the first time, the team also surprised two chamber members with home offices. Instead of barging into their homes unannounced, the team greeted them with an excited phone call from the Surprise Patrol Team and celebratory email to thank them for their membership and involvement. Bradley Builders and Dave's Stained Glass were the lucky recipients of the surprise phone call and a WSQL radio gift certificate.

The chamber team conducts Surprise Patrol a few times a year as a simple and fun thank you to its members, who are selected randomly for each patrol. This event is a small way to show appreciation for the dedication of their members and to celebrate them with the community as a whole.

This Surprise Patrol was possible due to sponsorship support from Domokur Architects. The Brevard/ Transylvania Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Blue Ridge Bakery for the cookies, WSQL radio for their participation and prize donation, Egolf Motors for the transportation, Domokur Architects for their sponsorship, and the Surprise Patrol Team for fun, loud and silly efforts.
