Lady Tigers Drop Three Straight

It was a tough stretch for the Rosman volleyball team last week as the Lady Tigers lost three matches in three days – falling to Highlands on Thursday before dropping matches to North Henderson and East Henderson on Saturday.

Against Highlands, Rosman dominated the second and third sets after dropping the first set.

However, Highlands eked out a 25-23 win in set four and rallied for a 15-10 win in the deciding fifth set.

On Saturday, the Lady Tigers traveled to Henderson County for a pair of matches.

Rosman put up a good fight against North, but lost 3-0 (25-20, 25-23 and 25-18).

Against East, Rosman was down 2-1 when the fourth set stretched into war of attrition, with the Eagles finally winning the set, and the match, 34-32.

The Lady Tigers’ record now stands at 6-9, with a 4-3 conference record.

Rosman traveled to Cherokee on Monday before hosting Andrews on Tuesday and Polk County on Wednesday.

Brevard Falls To Franklin 6-0

The Brevard Blue Devil soccer team dropped its second straight match last Wednesday, falling on the road to Franklin 6-0.

The Panthers scored four goals in the first half and tacked on two more in the second half for the final.

Brevard’s record now stands at 6-5-1, with an 0-2 mark in conference play.

The Blue Devils hosted Smoky Mountain on Monday and travel to Hendersonville on Wednesday.
