Transylvania Habitat for Humanity held its annual meeting, which was open to the public in the Habitat ReStore board room Wed-nesday morning. Board president Don Campbell called the meeting to order and introduced board members and staff to those present.

Various points of business were discussed, along with a financial report given by finance chair Dan White, and an office report given by Terena Flatt, Habitat office manager. ReStore manager Phil McIntosh gave a brief summary of ReStore activity throughout the past fiscal year.

As one of the more important functions of the annual meeting, volunteers and contributors who have provided outstanding service to Habitat were recognized. This year TH4H gave honors to Kathy Fischer, Robin Davidson and Janet Hoke for their volunteer service to the Habitat ReStore. Luck Shepherd was recognized for his faithful service as volunteer coordinator and construction volunteer.

Two other churches, Brevard First United Methodist and English Chapel Methodist, were recognized along with Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian as spiritual as well as financial supporters to Habitat. Lake Toxaway Charities was awarded a Golden Hammer award for their years of financial support.
