The Transylvania Times -

McGaha Chapel To Host Caroling

November 27, 2017

The annual caroling at McGaha Chapel will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 2:30 pm. Everyone is invited for 45 minutes of singing the old holiday favorites.

The McGaha Chapel, set on a wooded hillside along the old Johnstone Turnpike (Greenville Highway), takes visitors back to days of old.

There is no heat, so dress warmly. Hot apple cider, coffee and homemade Christmas cookies and cakes will be shared at the warm Sherwood Forest Robin Hood Center across the road following the singing.

Parking is available at the Sherwood Forest Robin Hood Center with a shuttle available to the chapel, so arrive early to allow time to catch a ride or to walk over to the Chapel. The Robin Hood Center is located on U.S. 276 South with roadside signs identifying parking.

The Transylvania County Historical Society, along with members of Sherwood Forest and the Greater Cedar Mountain communities, sponsors this annual event to celebrate the season.
