The Transylvania Times -

Chamber To Host Second Visit Local Event

February 8, 2018

Spending time with locals and folks was so much fun last year at the first-ever Visit Local event, the Brevard/ Transylvania Visitor Center has decided to do it again.

Transylvania County residents, as well as anyone from anywhere, are invited to get to know their community and their Visitor Center better.

“We had a wonderful turnout last year,” said Clark Lovelace, executive director of the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce and the Transylvania County Tourism Development Auth-ority (TCTDA). “We are thrilled that residents as well as visitors stopped by to join in the fun and learn more about our Visitor Center, the Chamber, the TCTDA plus our community partner and neighbor the Heart of Brevard.”

Throughout the Visit Local event, folks will be enjoying tasty treats and tapping their toes to the sounds of the Steel String Regulators, an old-timey string band. And, there will be drawings for door prizes donated by Cedar Mountain Café, Rockin’ Bowl, Pisgah Field School, Sherwood Forest Golf Club, Brevard Little Theatre and more.

Mark your calendars for 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 14, and come visit local. For more information, contact Sally at [email protected] or call (828) 883-3700.
