On Monday, Dec. 6, the Blue Ridge Ringers return to the Transylvania County Library for a holiday concert performance.

The free performance begins at noon in the Rogow Room and is made possible by the Friends of the Library.

The group is an advanced auditioned community handbell ensemble based in Hendersonville with members from throughout western North Carolina.

They were founded in 1995 by Connie Engle and play five octaves of Malmark handbells and choir chimes.    They have a combined total of hundreds of years of performing in and directing handbell choirs in churches, community handbell choirs and schools.

They perform in concerts in December and May of each year often with other musicians accompanying them on different instruments.
