St. Timothy United Methodist Church will welcome new pastor Rev. Andrew Crimmins to its pulpit Sunday, July 10, for its 10:55 a.m. service.

Rev. Crimmins is succeeding Rev. Tony Moreau, who recently accepted an appointment at Mount Holly (N.C.) First United Methodist Church.

St. Timothy UMC is located at 1020 Asheville Highway in Brevard.

The son of a pastor, Rev. Crimmins graduated from Trevecca College and completed his master of divinity degree at Vanderbilt University. He also has served as a hospice chaplain.

Rev. Crimmins, his wife Rebecca and their sons Desmond and Oscar, are moving to Brevard following his six-year service as pastor at First Nazarene Church in Asheville. Andrew and Rebecca Crimmins met doing outreach work for the homeless in Nashville, Tenn. Rebecca is ICU nurse at Mission Hospital.

St. Timothy UMC is “Connecting people with God’s Love” and had a long history as Oak Grove Church being established at its current location in 1963.
