Stephen Lamar Brock, 64, of Lake Toxaway, slipped peacefully and quietly into the arms of his Jesus early in the morning of March 15, 2023.

Steve, or Brock as known by many, had courageously battled with cancer for many months. He was born in Transylvania County and lived his adult life in these mountains he loved. He enjoyed fishing the streams and hunting rabbits, spending time with his family and friends, living simply.

He was a craftsman carpenter, working in construction most of his life. He served six years in the United States Navy and was grateful for the opportunity to serve his country. He was an intelligent, deep thinker who often said, “Just let me study on it.” His genuine love and appreciation for others will be missed.

He is survived by his faithful wife, Rose Eubanks Brock; children, Amanda Drimmel, of Charlotte, Jesse Eubanks, of Rosman, David Brock ,of Brevard, Jennifer McCall (Matthew), of Balsam Grove and Maggie Brock, of Charlotte; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Debi McLamb (Ray), of Pensacola, Fla., Mary Clark (Scott), of Statham, Ga. and one brother, David Brock, of Pensacola.

He is predeceased by his dad, Roger Brock and mother, Margaret Shipman Brock, as well as his niece, Malarie McLamb.

The funeral service and burial for Stephen Lamar Brock will be a graveside military service Monday, March 20, 2023 at 1 p.m at Mack McCall Cemetery, 300 Kitchen Loop Road, in Lake Toxaway.
