Need answers

Transylvania County citizens have noticed that our commissioners are not being forthright about their intentions. Do they ever intend to issue the school construction bonds that nearly 60 percent of the voters approved over four years ago?

When they say they’ve discussed “a practical instead of an aspirational approach” to our schools, what does that mean in real life for students, teachers and the community?

Are they willing to reveal enough about big new projects for citizens to be able to make informed public comments?

I urge our commissioners to repair the public trust. Public respect for their office depends on their respect for the public. We have questions and now is the time for answers.
