The Holly family travels 250 miles from Georgia each year to get a Christmas tree in Transylvania County.

The Christmas tree might one of the most recognizable symbols of the holiday season. For many families it's all about bundling up, piling into the car, driving out to the Christmas tree farm, then roaming through row after row and acre after acre of trees to find one that the whole family likes.

That has been the holiday tradition for the Holly family for now more than a decade.

But for the Hollys, it's more than a leisurely afternoon drive out to the country a tree.
