U.S. 276 Getting A New Surface
Twelve miles of U.S. 276 from the South Carolina line to Parkview in Brevard are scheduled to be resurfaced later this year.
The N.C. Board of Transportation awarded four contracts totaling $10.1 million to improve highways in western North Carolina.
Of that amount, $3.5 million will be spent in Transylvania County.
The Board approved milling, resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction along the 12 miles as well as six sections of secondary roads in the county.
