"Chapter Two," Neil Simon's semi-autobiographical comedy, opens Hendersonville Little Theatre's 2008 season on March 7. The play is a fine blend of laughter and heartache.
George Schneider, a writer whose wife has died, returns home from a few months in Europe where he has tried to put the past behind him. His younger brother Leo, a theatrical press agent, plays matchmaker, providing George with unwanted and unsuccessful dates. Then Leo hits gold in the person of Jennie Malone, a recently divorced actress.
George and Jennie hit it off immediately, but the road to romance is a rocky one. B...
