Jose´White String Quaretet To Perform In Asheville

The Asheville Chamber Music Series presents its first concert of 2008 on Jan. 25, with the José White String Quartet. Concerts take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville, on the corner of Charlotte Street and Edwin Place.

Named for Cuba's greatest violinist of the 19th and early 20th centuries, this quartet of young Latin-American musicians began playing together in the mid-1990s, winning first prize in the 2000 Mexican Premio Nacional de Música de Cámara.
