Orchestra Offers All-Celtic Concert


The Blue Ridge Orchestra, under the direction of Ronald D. Clearfield, will perform a concert of Celtic music with acclaimed Scottish harpist William Jackson on Sunday, March 2, at 3 p.m. at Diana Wortham Theatre.

The program will include selections by Jackson, as well as pieces by John Williams, Percy Grainger, and Malcomb Arnold. Jackson will also discuss and demonstrate various Celtic instruments.

The Blue Ridge Orchestra, founded in 1999, is composed of resident musicians from throughout Western North Carolina. It performs at schools, colleges and other venues throughout the region.
