City Sees Signs As An Issue
The Brevard City Council is edging toward imposing a moratorium on approving new electronic signs until it agrees on a policy.
Council members during their regular meeting Monday cited concerns about the impact on the city's appearance that electronic signs could have, especially on the Asheville Highway corridor.
"I'm concerned about the main corridor coming into Brevard looking like Gatlinburg," said Councilwoman Dee Dee Perkins, who introduced the idea of a moratorium.
