Recreation Plan: Major Spending Needed

 


Transylvania County is being recommended to spend $6.65 million and the City of Brevard $820,000 over the next 10 years in capital improvements for recreation.

The recommendations are part of the Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan that was commissioned by the county and the city.

Mike Norris with McGill Associates, the company hired by the city and the county, presented the master plan to the City Council on Monday during its regular meeting. Norris will present the same plan to county commissioners this Monday.
