Robert W. Taber

 


Robert W. Taber, 86, of Hendersonville, died on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Carillon Assisted Living following a struggle with Alzheimer's and cancer.

He was born in Marietta, Ohio and was a World War II veteran Air Force Intelligence Officer. He was a retired Oceanographer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha; daughter, Anne; son Allen; four grandchildren, Wendy, Julie, Matt, and Sarah; and a sister-in-law, Joan.

He was co-author of books ""Questions About The Oceans"" and ""1001 Questions About...
