ETJ Could Expand To Its Maximum
The City of Brevard is now speeding up its plans to consider expanding its extraterritorial jurisdiction, a move, city officials say, was brought on by the county's recent talk about zoning.
City staff hopes to come back to the City Council next month with a proposal to expand the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) to its "fullest legal extent," according to City Manager Joe Albright. A public hearing will also be held prior to any decision.
