Calvin Coolidge Raxter


Calvin Coolidge Raxter, age 86, of Rosman, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 18, 2005. A lifelong resident of Transylvania County, he was born one of twelve children on Sept. 26, 1921 to the late Mary Reba McGaha Raxter and Perry Elzie Raxter.

Raxter served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1946, receiving his flight training in Kansas, and serving in the South Pacific during WWII. After serving his country, he met and married Beulah Dodson on March 12, 1950.
