Tigers Take Cherokee 7-2 In Home Opener

After a seven-game road trip to start the season, the Tigers cruised through their home opener with a 7-

2 win over Cherokee on a cold, damp Tuesday afternoon.

Rosman got strong starting pitching from Cody Petit, who scattered seven hits over six innings and struck out five along the way to keep the Braves in check after the third inning.

The Tigers wasted little time getting on the board, scoring a run in the first inning.

Tyler Phillips led off with a double and Zach Whitman followed with a walk.
