Board Wants Public Imput On Zoneing
The issue of possible zoning in Transylvania County is apparently not dead, despite a recent legal opinion.
On Thursday, the county Planning Board voted unanimously to recommend to county commissioners a set of guidelines through which the public could be asked to give its opinion on the topic.
The guidelines included a timeline for a series of community meetings at community centers, work by the staff on development of a proposed ordinance and public notice requirements.
