Georgains learn About American Government

The best government is that which is closest to home, Tom Bertrand believes.

The Brevard resident and former president of Brevard College shared that observation with four elected officials visiting Transylvania County last week from the Republic of Georgia.

Georgia is a Eurasian country located on the east coast of the Black Sea. It is bordered on the north by Russia, on the south by Turkey and Armenia, and on the east by Azerbaijan. From 1922 to 1991 it was under the domination of the former Soviet Union.
