Lady Devils Hope To Build Future On Young Players
The Lady Blue Devils softball team, now approaching the middle of the 2008 season, are improving
and earning the respect of first-year head coach Dean Janavice.
"We've got a lot of little bodies and big hearts," Janavice said. "They're getting better.
"But we're young. Five of six are playing positions they've never played. They're willing to learn."
Melissa Perry will earn the lion's share of starts on the mound for the Lady Blue Devils.
"She's a warrior and a hitter," Janavice said. "She's an all-around tremendous athlete."
