Agencies Discuss Changes

The local Department of Social Services (DSS) and other agencies involved in the case of murdered 3-month-old Aundrea Hunter are making changes they hope will prevent another tragedy like that from happening again.

The recommendations are a result of a mandated review conducted by the state each time a child dies or nearly dies as a result of child abuse.

With that report in hand, representatives from the local DSS, the hospital, the Brevard Police Department and other agencies involved in the Hunter case sat down to look at the 12 findings and 10 recommendations made by the state.
