Brevard Softball Claws Cougars

 


The Lady Blue Devils picked up a non-conference win over Mountain Heritage on Tuesday, winning 8-5.

Melissa Perry, coming off the disabled list, pitched the win, striking out five and scattering seven hits while allowing just two earned runs. She also gave up just one walk.

Stephanie Hamilton, who continues to lead the team in hitting, went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.

That is an impressive statistic, considering Hamilton has only been playing since the seventh grade, according to Brevard head coach Dean Janavice.
