Tiger Rally Falls Short Against Murphy

The Tigers never really recovered from a 4-0 first-inning deficit and lost to Murphy 10-6 Tuesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs picked up four in the first and one in the third and fourth.

Rosman cut the lead in half with a run in the third and two in the home half of the fourth, but could not hand-cuff the Bulldog batters at the plate.

Murphy picked up two more in the fifth and two more in the sixth, while holding off a three-run Rosman rally in the bottom of the sixth to take the win.

Zach Whitman led at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance and two runs scored. He also hit a double.
