ParkHaving Groying Pains
Gorges State Park is experiencing some growing pains this spring, as construction workers converge on parts of the property to work on roads and parking lots and install utilities.
The Grassy Ridge access, including the parking lot, is closed for safety reasons and to allow work to progress in that section of the park, according to Park Superintendent Steve Pagano. That area is just off NC 281 south less than a mile from U.S. 64 and Sapphire.
