Teenager Arrested For Stealing Sculpture

A teen who allegedly stole the 100-pound life-sized bronze sculpture of a bobcat from East Main Street in Brevard three weeks ago has been arrested, but not before first returning the cat to the location from where it was stolen.

Nineteen-year-old Cole Wallace Bradley Snipes, a Brevard College student, has been charged with the theft and now sits in the Transylvania County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond.

Brevard Police Detective Sgt. Steve Woodson said the theft was solved as a result of tips to Crime Stoppers.
