Officials Don't Believe Concession Stand Is Top Priority
Capital outlay expenditures and the rising cost of fuel dominated discussion at the Board of Education meeting Monday night.
A proposed $120,000 concession stand and restroom at the Brevard High School baseball and softball fields drew questions from Board members Chris Whitmire and Bill Cathey.
Whitmire said he thought there were many other smaller items that were a higher priority on which the money could be spent.
Cathey agreed, stating that he did not see putting that much money into a structure when only about 100 people attend the games and fewer would use the concession stand.
