Pearl Elizabeth Palmer, age 85, of Rosman, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at her residence. She was a native of Macon County, N.C. and a daughter of the late Joe Webb, Jr. and Minnie Irene Webb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Palmer, as well as one brother and one sister.

Survivors include: three sons, Leslie C. Palmer, Jr. and wife Peggy, of Statesville, N.C., William S. Palmer and wife Patty, of Cullowhee, N.C., and Phillip J. Palmer of Rosman; four daughters, Dorothy E. Justice and husband Derrill, of Westminister, S.C., Jessie Marie Corliss and husband Wayne, of West Creek, N.J., Minnie Irene Riddle of Hendersonville, and Martha L. Jones and husband Brodus, of Lake Toxaway. Three sisters, four brothers, 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway, with Rev. Tommy Owen and Rev. Steve Boley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday evening at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
