BHS To Perform 'Oklahoma'

Oklahoma! will come to life on the stage of Brevard High School on May 9-10 at 7:30 p.m. The musical is set in Oklahoma Territory in 1906 just before entering statehood. It tells the story of cowboy Curly McLain (Josh Miller) and his romance with farmer girl Laurey Williams (Kelly Rodgers). Their love is challenged by Laurey's threatening farmhand, Jud Fry (Randy Buford), and much of the play follows the tension generated by this conflict. Will (Steven Berry) and Ado Annie's (Lee Huff) love is filled with tension when Ado can't seem to pick which man she wants.
