Rosman Tigers Fall To Maroon Devils 5-1 On Monday

The Tigers hand-cuffed the Maroon Devils for most of Monday afternoon, but Swain made the most of their three hits in a 5-1 win in Smoky Mountain Conference baseball action.

The Tigers out-hit Swain 5-3, but committed two errors, one of them for a run scored, to fall to 6-6 in the league.

Swain opened the game with a hit batsman with one out. An error allowed that runner to score for a 1-0 lead.

Rosman threatened in the home half of the first.

Zach Whitman was hit by a pitch, then advanced to third on a single by Tyler Phillips. A strike-out ended the inning, however.
