Five Blue Devils Earn All-Conference Honors

 


Second place in the Western Athletic Conference and a legitimate shot at a deep run into the playoffs led to five Brevard High School baseball players being named All-Western Athletic Conference.

Andrew Blackwell was named co-WAC player of the year for a stellar offensive year and a great season on the mound.

Blackwell hit .391 while driving in 42 runs, second in the state in RBIs. He was tied for first in the state in home runs with 12, while scoring 31 times. He also drew 24 walks.

On the mound, Blackwell had a 4-1 record in 19.1 innings pitched. He struck out 32 batters and had a 2.56 ER...
