RHS-Lock-in Provides Fun,Prizes And Saftey


Students Tiffany Owen and Courtney Hickman are excited over the Tom Petty tickets they won at the Rosman High School Lock-in.

More than 10 pounds of candy, 16 cases of energy drinks, 12 dozen cookies and 30 pizzas were consumed by Rosman High School students at the annual after prom lock-in.

On May 17, more than 161 students, almost double the lock-in's first attendance, lined the rooms and halls of the Brevard College gymnasium.

"We had a good turn out and have had the last seven years," said Rosman High School Principal Larry Clayton.

According to Clayton, the lock-in was created to "give [students] the chance to turn down possible invitations that would not be in their best interest."
