Board Discusses Changes To Cell Phone Policy
While students are on summer break, school board members get heated up over the current cell phone policy.
Dr. Sonna Lyda, superintendent of Transylvania County Schools, asked board members to consider the current cell phone policy to determine what changes they desired.
Board member Bill Cathey, former Rosman High School principal, said he had looked at the policy enough.
"I wants us to do away with the things," said Cathey.
"I think that they have caused us to have more problems…I can see no need for them with any shape, form or fashion that there is."
