Officers DeFine Their Roles In The Schools

Confusion over the roles of school resource officers has come to light during the recent bullying allegations, said Lt. Greg Stroup, who works at Rosman High School.
School resources officers can only enforce state law when it comes to rendering discipline in the school system, he said.
Stroup said his role as a resource officer is to provide support to students and staff, help solve issues, provide security and, most of all, protection.
