Elizabeth"" Betty"" King McWhinnie


Elizabeth "Betty" King McWhinnie went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Hendersonville.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Nov. 13, 1918, to Henry K. and Emily Bell McWhinnie, she came to America in 1923. She worked as executive secretary for McCord and ExCello.

She gave her heart and life to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and never swerved in her service to him.

She was leader of the Pioneer Girls at Strathmoor Judson Baptist Church and she served on the Missions Committee at Covenant Community Church. She always had a heart for missions and suppor...
