V. Lee Fluharty

 


V. Lee Fluharty died May 17, 2008 at his Connestee Falls home in Brevard.

He was born March 22, 1945. He was the son of W.W. Fluharty and Lila L. Meekins and was raised on Tilghman Island, Md.

Upon graduation from St. Michael's High School, he served the country as a Marine. After he left the Marines, he earned a BA in criminology from the University of Maryland.

After graduation, he worked for the Florida Prison System in Homestead, Fla. He was also a licensed pilot. After moving to Brevard, he worked as a pilot for Tom Fazio, the golf course designer, and then retired.
