Town To Consider Mandatory Water Rectrictions


High temperatures and continued drought conditions persist in Transylvania County, and tonight the Rosman Board of Aldermen will consider imposing mandatory limitations on athletic fields in the community.

Wesley Royal of Royal Water Works, the town's water supply consultant, said on Friday the town's four wells continue to operate adequately but reduced stream flows in the county are a cause of concern.

Royal was speaking during a meeting of the new water conservation and drought management team (see adjacent story).

Until now, the town has voluntarily limited irrigation on athletic field...
